Heating oil metering pump

We manufacture heating oil metering pumps which deliver fuels like heating oil up to heavy oil. These are predominantly used in steel or glass industries.

The Gredux heating oil pumps are used in industrial burners that are operated with a relatively small fluid throughput. The pumps are continuously variable, thus offer a constant supply of the right amount of oil to the burners.

Due to the special construction of the pumps, the delivery rate is largely independent of the inlet and outlet pressure. The interaction of several delivery pistons on one outlet results in a near constant delivery flow. The delivery rate is controlled by adjusting the piston stroke, which results in a linear delivery characteristic. Standard version metering pumps are designed for pressures of up to 8 bar. The individual pump sizes are designed for different nominal capacities by adjusting number of pistons, piston diameter and maximum stroke.

The adjustment is made either manually or by an adaptive actuator, in which the reference variable is specified as an analog value in the form of voltage (0-10V) or current (4- 20mA). The current setting angle can be output via an analog value output, therefore enables easy integration into PLC operated processes.

If larger amounts of oil are to be evenly distributed to several consumer points, for example on an industrial furnace with many burners, this is done by a group of metering pumps, each of which is controlled by an individual actuator.

The pumps are powered by a three-phase asynchronous motor. In order to assure a high level of operational reliability, all moving parts of the pump are well lubricated by the pumped medium.

Gredux offers the option of adding an electric jacket heater to reduce the viscosity of the pumped fluid. The maximum permissible operating temperature is 150°C when operating with heavy oil.
